Stratagy:

Before this battle starts, you will be asked to choose a party of three. After you have chosen and outfitted your party the game will either start the battle or ask you to choose another party of three from your remaining characters. This is random. After you choose your second party, depending on if you got the two optional characters, Vincent and Yuffie, you will be asked to form another party of two. Then the battle will begin. As always, start out with Big Guard. Then, if you have Knights of the Round, great. Use it. If you have W-Summon also, that's better. Use KOTR twice. If you have KOTR coupled with Quadra Magic, that's awesome. Use it four times. If Bizarro Sephiroth isn't dead after that. Rinse. Lather. Repeat.

If you want the challange of beating him up, attack the arms first. Then the Core (part C), then the Head (part B). Then attack the main body. Eventually he will revive his other parts. Stop the Bolt 3, Ice 3, Quake 3, and Fire 3, by casting Magic Hammer four times on each arm. Even after they're revived, they still can't cast their magic.

Stratagy

Safer Sephiroth. Also known as the One Winged Angel. Normally you should start any boss battle by casting Big Guard. However, every time you try to cast a defensive spell, Safer Sephiroth will cast DeSpell. Instead, I recommend an all out assault. Treat him as though he were Ruby or Emerald Weapon. Make sure one of your characters has Final Attack coupled with Phoenix materia. If you have Knights of the Round couple that with Quadra Magic. If you did not get Knights of the Round materia, use Bahumut Zero coupled with Quadra Magic. Make sure your characters have their Level 4 limit breaks. I would recommend only characters that have limit breaks with multiple hits. Barret, Cid, etc. Remember that you will not be getting any AP for these battles, so make sure your characters have their ultimate weapons. If you have some Long Range materia, equip them to your characters that don't already have long range attacks. Then move everyone to the back row. Give your party members each a Hyper to ensure quicker limit breaks.

Early in the fight, Safer Sephiroth will cast Wall. Counter it with a quick DeBarrier. Begin attacking with your strong summons, using Cure 3, White Wind or Megalixirs when appropriate. If you have a character with a strong physical attack, you can equip them with Double Cut at either level two or three. 4xCut damage is better than a simple attack when the chips are down. Eventually, Safer Sephiroth will rise high up into the air. This means his next attack will most likely be Super Nova. This is Safer Sephiroth's version of a summon. A huge meteor will come soaring into the solar system, pulverising Pluto, devestating the rings of Saturn, collapsing Jupiter, and finally crashing into the sun. This causes the sun to supernova. The sun expands and destroys both Mercury and Venus as it makes its way to Earth. The wall of fire approaches as it throws boulders at the party and shakes the ground. This attack will take each character down to around 500 to 700 HP, no matter what. As Super Nova plays out, you cannot make any command desicions (just like when you summon something). But choose a Megalixir, and have the party selected. When Super Nova has finished, immediatly use the Megalixir. Safer Sephiroth will almost always follow this attack up with Break. Having either a Jem Ring, Safety Bit or a Ribbon will protect you from the Petrify effect, otherwise, use a Soft and resume attacking. With proper outfitting and a stocked inventory, there is no reason you shouldn't defeat Safer Sephiroth before too long.

Stratagy

There's no real stratagy here. This final showdown will take place either with your participation or not. As you can see, Sephiroth has no HP. All you have to do is hit him once. As the battle's opening animation progresses, you will see that your limit guage starts as empty, regardless of how full it was when you ended the last battle. But it will gradually fill to the point that when you can select a command, your limit bar is full. You can also note that all of your materia is gone. At this point you can either choose to attack with Omnislash, use an item, or sit there. Eventually Sephiroth will attack you with his Masamune. After which you will immediatly counter-attack with your regulat attack. If you choose to use Omnislash, you will see a brief staredown before the final strike. That's it. Game over. Watch the ending movie and the credits.
