Stratagy:

Apps is a beast that Don Corneo keeps for "special occasions". He normally starts out
with a Sewer Tsunami. This attack even hurts Apps, so don't be too pissed when he beats
his chest like a monkey. When the wave comes from behind you, the damage to Apps will be
less than if it came in front of you. It works like a back attack depending on who's back
it attacks. His Tail Smash can do some damage so keep some potions and that Restore materia
handy. Lick does minimal damage, but it also inflicts sadness on its victim. If you
bought some Fire materia then use it. You should have your magic materia spread out between
your party. Use limit breaks as soon as you get them, especially Aeris' because they
come in handy. If you have Cloud's Cross Slash at this point, use it! It will stop Apps
in his tracks for a short period of time, giving you a short break. Most of the time,
Apps will unwittingly commit suicide due to a poorly timed Sewer Tsunami from behind.
This guy's a push over so don't worry too much. After you beat him, don't forget to pick up
the Steal Materia.
